Steve Merriman Steve has devoted his 35 year career to serving ministry professionals and organizations and their unique tax and retirement needs. He earned the unofficial title of “Mr. Housing Allowance” as the lead tax advisor in the court case challenging ministers’ housing allowance benefits involving Rick Warren in 2002. More recently, he was responsible for negotiating with the IRS to avoid computer selection practices that unfairly targeted ministers.
His expertise has resulted in pioneering tax services and resources for ministry professionals through specialized strategies for ministers’ tax and retirement planning. You may not know Steve personally, but if you’re a minister, you’ve already benefited from his efforts. His expertise will help ministry professionals understand and enjoy their benefits during and beyond their active ministry years; including helping to preserve their housing allowance benefit for life.
